About Me

My name is Oyinlola Kayode.  I am a UX designer, Graphics Designer and Media Grad Student based in the United States of America. My journey into design started out of curiosity. I became a self taught graphics designer with specialization in brand identities which I have done for a few years. I have recently made a career switch into UX design and my previous experience as a graphics designer has given me an edge as I am not only able to understand the fundamental principles of design but also possess an advantage from a visual design perspective.

I am comfortable with tools such as Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Indesign. I am also increasing my proficiency with After Effects and learning Maya 3D. My skillset helps me make significant contributions for all challenges within a creative team. I am able to engage in research, wireframing, prototyping, product design, iconography, typography, illustrations, brand identities and general graphics design.

I am currently pursuing my Masters in Media Arts at Ohio University where I am taking courses in UX, information architecture and animation. I enjoy bringing things to life and solving problem through them. I am interested in anything that has to do with DESIGN, USER EXPERIENCES AND MEDIA.

My journey as a self taught designer has led to challenges, victories, and occasional slumps that have all contributed to shaping me and becoming an adaptable, resourceful, and persistent designer.
